Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a supportive environment that allows us to enrich our lives as women, wives, and mothers within a Catholic framework. Housed under the faith community of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Newport Beach, California, OLQA Moms is a parish ministry that strives to build spiritual devotion, encourage intellectual and creative growth, serve the greater community and engage in fun and fellowship.
Our History
Under the guidance of Sr. Agatha, our group was started almost 30 years ago by mothers of young children at the parish. At the time the meetings were held at a member's home and children were watched by some of the grandparents. The ladies focused on reflecting on scripture and sharing personal stories. While the group has evolved over the years what remains is the importance of those personal connections we make with each other by sharing our struggles and triumphs, our faith and ourselves.
