Do you choose to look at life as a “glass half empty” or a “glass half full”? Do you see a lemon as too sour, or do you see it as an opportunity to make delicious lemonade or a heavenly lemon cake? When David fought Goliath, he didn't see Goliath as too big to hit, he saw him as too big to miss! Our perspective in life determines not only how we see things but also how we respond to them. Gratitude is the same way. If we focus on what we don’t have, we will always feel like we don’t have enough. But if we focus and give thanks for what we DO have, we will end up with a much fuller and happier life.
For meditation: Write down as many things that you can think of right now that you are grateful for. Consider starting a daily gratitude journal of all of your blessings.
