As we reflected on the Gospel reading during our Mom’s Group meeting this week, we discussed ways to be persistent in prayer throughout our family’s often hectic schedules. Some ideas we discussed included designating a prayer area in our homes, having a daily “coffee talk” with the Lord, and playing “I Spy Blessings” with the kids while driving in the car. Another fun suggestion was having a “Joyful Praise Dance Party” as a family. Intrigued by this idea, I went home that afternoon, cranked up the tunes from this year’s Bible Camp CD, and we rocked out together in the name of the Lord. So much fun! Joyful laughter bellowed throughout the house as we jumped, clapped, twisted, and praised the Lord! It was truly the most fun we have had together as a family in a long time!... Not to mention a great boost for both body and soul! For meditation this week, try out your own “Joyful Praise Dance Party”. Here are a few suggestions for music to get the party started: -Click here for video of the song and hand motions for “Stand Strong” (theme song for OLQA Bible Camp 2013) -Bible Camp Music CD’s (you can get a copy from Gina Jensen in Children’s Faith Formation at OLQA Church) -Pandora Children’s Worship Stations: “Totally Kids Worship” or “Worship Together Kids” -Air1 Radio found at 92.7 on the radio or www.air1.com (Christian radio without commercials) -CD’s: Totally Kids Worship or Shout Praises Kids (click to view) “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.
